ABOUT
Who runs Indianapolis HVAC Guide
A small independent site about residential heating and cooling problems in Indianapolis and nearby Marion County. Practical notes, not a substitute for a technician on site.
Who writes it
Mike Maziarz — Editor
Mike Maziarz writes practical home-service guides for homeowners. These pages explain common problems and what to ask a licensed pro; they are not a substitute for on-site diagnosis.
How we write these guides
- Local notes, basements in older neighborhoods, closet and attic handlers toward the edge of the city, snow, ice, and humid summers, are written as general guidance a homeowner can check.
- We do not publish steps for adding refrigerant, bypassing a safety switch, or opening a gas burner.
- We do not invent ratings, reviews, prices, or phone numbers. The gas-utility emergency number is the one printed on your bill.
- If a page is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
How the site is paid for
Right now the site has no advertising, affiliate links, sponsored placements or paid referrals. If that changes, we will say so on this page and next to any paid link or phone number.
What we are not
We are not a heating and cooling company, a utility, or an emergency dispatch line. If you smell gas, leave and use the emergency number on your gas bill. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, or symptoms ease outdoors, get everyone outside and call emergency services.
